Walk @ LONGVIEW Vineyard, Adelaide, S.A. : Me In February, 2008 In The Adelaide Hills Of South Australia : I Wanted To Preserve This Delightful Moment
This is what I have so far : enjoy it as I will surely add more given time. Cheers and do join us this coming Monday night at Cleveland Park Wines & Spirits with Mark Saturno( 9/21/09 ) to taste some of his family's excellent wines. Read on for more info ...

Enjoy some of these artsy photos that I took our my tour with Chris Pigott of the Country Vintner back then as Duncan led us two around. What grand memories, what a beautiful setting for almost anything and what a great range of wines, too.
I will write more soon but in the meantime enjoy these photos as they tell many stories themselves.
Oh, and on Monday night from 5:30-7:30 PM we will have one of the new owners of LONGVIEW in our store at Cleveland Park Wines & Spirits ( 3423 Connecticut Avenue N.W. Washington D.C. 20008 Tel : 202-363-4265 sales@clevelandparkwine.com www.clevelandparkwine.com ) this coming Monday, September 21st, 2009. That is Mark Saturno will come and taste with us. Last year it was Peter Saturno that came to the store as well as afterward to our home for dinner with the rest of the group.
Cheers, TONY

Michael Kerrigan The Winemaker Of HAY SHED HILL Visits Cleveland Park Wines & Spirits Sat. Sept. 19th, 2009 4-8 PM
We had a great visit at HAY SHED HILL and then later met up with Michael again that night on the main strip of Margaret River that looks a bit like California - maybe Healdsburg in Napa Valley?
We Had a blast : Chris Pigott, Nick Stacey, Michael Kerrigan and myself ( Anthony Quinn ). I was starting to really love being in Australia and Michael tasted us on recent and past successes of his at this dinner just a few steps up the street from where we had earlier had lunch with owner and winemaker Dan Pannell of the PICARDY Winery in Pemberton, western Australia.
I was very excited earlier at the HAY SHED HILL Winery where we tasted through the whole line of the wines : all levels, grapes and price ranges. I found the quality to be high indeed.

The wines have now been at Cleveland Park Wines & Spirits now for several months and we have tasted them in the store now with our Country Vintner rep Arielle Monaco and they have always found a buying and appreciative audience.

Tomorrow should be no different and we will undoubtedly sell more as we will have Michael there himself to sign the bottles and to speak about all their ins and outs. They make really nice wines to enjoy with a broad range of foods, too and they all sell for between $20-$22 a bottle.

I will speak more about this stage of our trip in western Australia but let me once again mention that I was beginning to really relax and feel no pain at all - just grand pleasure. Thank you Michael for your part in all of this. Cheers to you and this visit and to catching up with you now after a year and a half has passed since we last met in your own home turf in the Margaret River of western Australia.

Here are the pictures that I took of Michael Kerrigan when we visited his winery where he makes the wines in the Margaret River back in February 2008. Enjoy them and come see him at our store tomorrow afternoon from 4-8 PM , September 19th, 2008. Cleveland Park Wines & Spirits is located at 3423 Connecticut Avenue N.W. Washington D.C. 20008 Tel : 202-363-4265 sales@clevelandparkwine.com www.clevelandparkwine.com. Cheers, TONY

I Miss You Gavin! Gavin Berry Of WEST CAPE HOWE, Western Australia Examines His Vines & Grapes Before Harvest, Feb. 2008 W/ Chris Pigott & Tony Quinn
This was a once-in-a-lifetime-experience and trip for me and so I took lots of pictures. I'd like to take this occasion to share them with you now and to help shed some necessary light on the good/great work that some of these smaller vineyards are doing in Australia to bring the world some pretty special wine. It can compete with any of them in balance, focus, finesse, charm and appeal. These wines are also quite reasonably priced.
Now as Australia is really struggling in the wine market I want to do more to help them in any way that I can. I'm due to buy some more WEST CAPE HOWE wines and I will ask my Country Vintner rep Arielle Monaco what is in stock as I am really low here on the last day of August, 2009.
Cheers Gavin and I hope to see you soon I hope. It's been way-too long. You are due to do another in-store tasting of your wines at Cleveland Park Wines & Spirits ( 3423 Connecticut Avenue, N.W. Washington D.C. 20008 sales@clevelandparkwine.com www.clevelandparkwine.com Tel:202-363-4265 ). You are certainly welcome anytime. Best to everyone back at WEST CAPE HOWE that made our visit so memorable and rewarding.
This was a gorgeous day in Western Australia as Chris Pigott and I got a tour by Gavin Berry of WEST CAPE HOWE in Denmark, Australia before he got us to our next rendezvous with Dan Pannell of PICARDY vineyard in Pemberton, Western Australia.
I took some pictures of the vines and the grapes that we inspected on the drive with Gavin as he drove us around touring the countryside and his vineyards and vines. It was so nice and hot this day and Chris Pigott and I were having a blast on this trip, just the two of us.
I will never forget this trip and I miss you Gavin. So here's to you and to your continued success as well as that of WEST CAPE HOWE. Cheers, and enjoy these photos of the Sauvignon Blanc grapes, Chardonnay, Riesling, Shiraz and more I believe. TONY
